The hero in my heart
Good afternoon, everyone! Welcome to the English broadcast programme. Today, I’d like to tell you about my hero.
Everyone has a hero, someone they look up to. So do I. What kind of person can be my hero? Well, a hero to me is somebody who is strong- willed. Wang Yaping is such a person.
Wang Yaping was born into a farming family. She used to be a pilot and help with rescue work. She had always dreamed of becoming an astronaut. Of course, it was not easy. However, she never thought of giving up. With her strong will and hard work, she successfully became an astronaut in May 2010. In 2021, Wang Yaping took the Shenzhou-13 spaceship into space and became the first Chinese woman astronaut to work on the space station.
Although Wang Yaping comes from an ordinary background, what she has done is not ordinary. Her experiences inspire me a lot and she has set a good example for all of us to follow.
